I have Windows 2000 Professional and I am trying to load DSL onto my PC but I needed an ethernet adapter. I have installed the ethernet adapter but keep getting a message that says "Digital Signature Not Found" when I am trying to load the driver. The rest of the message says "The Microsoft digital signature affirms that the software has been tested with Windows and that the software has not been altered since it was tested. The software you are about to install does not contain a Microsoft digital signature. Therefore, there is no guarntee that this software works correctly with Windows. Dynex DX-E101 PCI adapter If you want to search for Microsoft digitally signed software, visit the Windows Update Website at http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com to see if one is available. There was an option to click on more info and it said "Windows did not find a microsoft signature associated with the software package you are trying to install." I went to the Microsoft Website and checked for any updates. There was one driver update that said "D-Link Corporation. network software update released on August 23, 2001. The download size is 25KB, < 1 minute. When I try to install the update I get a message that says "No updates were installed. The following items failed to install. To try installing them again, click Review and install updates, and then click Install now again. I tried it again and got the same message. Also when I was going through the "Found New Hardware Wizard" loading the driver I got a message saying "The software for this device is now installed, but may not work correctly. This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for the device. (Code 31)" When I try to finish installing the software for my DSL it says that it can't find the modem and asks me to make sure that the ethernet cable is connected correctly. I bought this computer from another person 4 or 5 years ago and have not had any problems. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Kristie
