Dunno. I noticed in your first post that you don't have a Monitor category showing
in the Device Manager. I would think that if you let the Add/Remove Hardware wizard
search for Plug and Play devices, rather than manually point it to the AC713 driver,
it should find *some* monitor - "Plug and Play Monitor" or "Default Monitor" - which
you could later update to the AC713 driver. If you don't have any monitor category,
you can't update the driver for a non-existant device, thus the "The specified location..."
message.
Check that you have the following generic monitor class registry
entry: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E96E-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318} Although,
I don't know what you can do if you don't have one. It should be automatically generated
by Windows when it does a PnP search for hardware. If you are going thru a KVM switch
box, maybe connect the monitor directly to the video card.
Hope this helps,
