WOW (wowexe.exe) is a windows command :)
It will load the autoexec.nt file and the config.nt files from the windows folders
to run old programs, WOW will also load rom's and some hardware , you can read the
autoexec.nt file with NotePad it will tell you what it loads up when the WOW is called
into play , WOW will also run the win.ini and the sys.ini file looking for drivers
or calls to old hardware.... It's made to run old games etc. in win2k..
As far as the machine running slow it can be many,many things holding it back but
take a look at what's loading at win2k boot, with the free tool below it will help
you take control of your machine.
