Explorer in win 2000 shuts down suddenly

Hi, I get the following message in my Win 2000 on a pc just before I have to accept
the message and close explorer down " Explorer.exe has generated errors and will
be closed by windows" "You will need to restart the program" "An error log is being
created". This happens every time I use explorer, how do I fix this please?
