A profile with the ending .bak was created by windows. It seems to have my missing folders. The 'corrupt profile message' at logon said windows will create a temporary profile which will be removed when I log off. Could the corrupt profile be fixed by running Repair, chkdsk etc. using installn CD? A lot of folders are in the corrupt profile. I created a new profile and copied the folders in corrupt profile into it. Tried to log on using the new prodile and got 'corrupt' message again. If can't fix using iinstallation CD will have to copy and paste.
