You would have to buy a hub that has a provision for a power adaptor (and then you 
would have to buy the appropriate adaptor), or a hub that comes with a power adaptor 
that would be plugged into an outlet and then into the USB hub..  (as I eluded to 
in my post)

The powered hub mentioned, that is installed in a drive bay, is powered from an open 
plug from the computers powersupply..  (would be the same as the power adaptor for 
an external hub that you can buy)  Those would be your options..
