How did you 'uninstall' windows 98?
Do you get a menu displayed now when you boot the machine (presumably you got one 
to choose between 98 and 2k when dual boot in operation). 

It depends entirely on how you created the dual boot and what you did to 'uninstall' 
98 as to how to recover the situation (Dex's solution will only work if 2k boot sector 
still in place and 2k installation still intact).
