I think the problem is in, what you refer to as an 'upgrade' from ME to w2k. Win2k
was there before ME, but that said, the relationship between the two was never successful..something
to do with split partitions or something like that. The other lads on the forum will
know much more about that. I would suggest that you bring it to your nearest IT person
and see if he can restore the OS without loosing any of the stuff you have. Good
