Strange modem message...

My modem is working fine. I get online with no problem. The problem I'm having is that a box with this message: "Unable to support current country setting. Change the country to United Kingdom in the tray helper application." remains on my screen. If I click the "x" to try to make it go away, I get a dialog box to change the country setting. I'm not in the United Kingdom so why would I want to change it? Like I said, I can get online just fine, I'd just like to get rid of the box with this stupid message. I've gone into my system settings to make sure everything there is right and I've even tried downloading the driver again from microsoft but my computer tells me that my driver is already updated so, it doesn't download a new one. Any idea how to get rid of this message box?
