Try to start Firefox in Safe Mode with the instructions given in the website below.
Firefox will start in Safe Mode but later along the way you can revert it back to
Normal Mode. The mozilla website where you will get the instruction to accomplish
this task can be accessed at: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_Mode. Go for it.
