Thanks for the advise Jacob6601. 

I tried running "chkdsk x: /f" where x=drive letter. Windows ran the check, the 3 
stages of verification completed with no errors and then windows gave the message: 
"Windows has checked the file system and found no problems."

I am still unable to delete the folder and receive the same error message when I 
try.

Thanks for the advise . . . .any other ideas?
