One of the computers I am using is a Dell Optiplex GX 260. I recently reformatted it, installed Windows 2000 and Microsoft Office 2003. It also has Internet Explorer. It has a couple of other small programs and shortcuts on the desktop. Everything is running very smoothly. The only problem I am having is with desktop icons. The Microsoft Office Outlook icon is duplicated and covering all other desktop icons. I can fix the problem temporarily by changing the screen resolution to a different setting and then back. Most of the time, when I restart the computer the multiple Microsoft Office Outlook icon is back again. Sometimes it's OK for 2-3 restarts. I have never seen this problem before. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
