Yes, something like that has been seen before. If it is really a desktop icon, there
is no harm in deleting it. But the Windows Office thing is, I believe, not just a
shortcut. It is a kind of folder and you would not want to delete it, but you should
be able to disable it or close it or move it to the task bar.
