Just as an FYI update, I did find an Omega driver that did not object to Win2000,
but can't be used anyway because of the screen resolution. W2K refuses to offer
better than 640 by 480 (though it claims it will, but doesn't follow up on the promise).
The various action buttons in the Omega versions of ATI's drivers have no text on
them, just loose patterns of dots in neat rows.
The author of the Conversion tool replied, and said it is working for him with ATI's
8.x drivers, and so far he couldn't explain why it wouldn't work for me.
