Hi jaf. Thanks for your reply. Well, at first I tried uninstalling the USB host controllers with Device Manager, then rebooting and letting the New Hardware Wizard do its job - but that didn't work. I checked in BIOS, but there seems to be nothing specific mentioned in there about the USB. Then I used regedit, located HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\UsbStor, and double-clicked on Start in the right pane to check the Value data box. It had number 3 in it, as it is supposed to. The only thing I have not done yet is uninstall SP4 and reboot off the W2K disk. Any suggestions?
