Does the new PC run Vista? Is your wireless from a router or from a PC running windows 2000? We need some more info before we can answere your question. In general, a wireless router has a setup program that is not a actual part of Windows 2000.
In Windows 2000 sharing is needed when the PC that hooks to the internet has two network connections. One to the internet and another to the Local Network. If there is only one connection, then sharing is not available.
An alternative to sharing is bridging. That also requires two connections.
