This is not exactly a Windows issue. But here is something your can try. In the device
manager, try to install a driver from the list that is built into Windows. That is
not likely to work.
Better idea. Go to a major on line store and order a low cost Network Adapter or
Modem for your computer. It will either come with a setup disk, or windows will install
it automatically.
What I am trying to say is sometimes is is just not worth the effort to locate a
odd driver. Standard Modems and Network cards are cheaper than ever. And most have
drivers that work in both windows 2000 and Windows XP.
