Thanks to all who responded. It seems that incomplete (unfinished) torrents look like bad clusters to chkdsk. Once I archived the offending torrents and deleted the files (and this INCLUDES the Recycle Bin), then the bad cluster problem disappeared. Cheers, Gordon.
