This was the topic of an old thread over a year ago that was never really resolved because those responding were not understanding the question. Is there a way to edit the registry so Win2K will always open a folder using a pre-determined folder view other than the default large icons. I want every folder to open to the list view but be able to change an individual folder after that. Many of the prior responses had people changing the BagMRU which only relates to how many folder settings Win2K can remember but not to actually set the desired view for all folders at once. It still left one to manually change each folder...I have thousands of folders so that is not a suitable solution. Again seeking a registry hack that will provide that ALL folders will open to a default view setting of my choosing that is other than the normal default. I want default to be list view, arranged by type set for every folder. Thanks for your help!
