I've been using Windows 2000 for nine years now, and I've finally gotten around to asking this question: When using Search for Files and Folders, I get the following incomplete listings.

Why does Windows INSIST on doing this to me, does anyone else have this problem, and is there a solution? [Yes to that last part: Use Total Commander, right?]

Searching Local Harddrives (C:;R:;W:;X:) Lists Files on C Drive Only

Searching Local Harddrives (W:;X:;R:) Lists Files on X Drive Only

Searching Local Harddrives (R:;W:;X:) Lists Files on W Drive Only

Searching Local Harddrives (X:;R:;W:) Lists Files on R Drive Only

Searching Local Harddrives (X:;C:;R:;W:) Lists Files on C and R Drives Only

Searching My Computer: Lists All Files on All Drives

I DO NOT have indexing enabled as I find it just slows my computer down and annoys me.
