Can't you just Right-Click, select "Open With", select Firefox.exe and tick the checkbox 
that says "Always use this program to open these files" (Note: I seem to remember 
sometimes you have to use shift+right-click to be able to select Open With)

Or just set Firefox to be your default browser?

Changing the Folder View associations is not recommended...
