Hi ernie
It's time to replace it :(
The HD is dead, but it can be many things,a new HD is cheap about 40 to 50 bucks but
it's software that will drive you nuts ( IBM software ) you can find it on eBay for
about 20.oo bucks but you will end up with a 10 year old computer ,find a good use
one on eBay for 50.oo bucks or less and use the old one for parts, battery, etc.
If you love the PC :)
