Any time a program has updated screens since I last used it, Explorer flags its icon in the taskbar with the hightlight color, and usually un-auto-hides it. This is particularly annoying with AOL Instant Messenger, as any time an IM comes in, the hidden taskbar pops up (and stays on top) and the IM window button flashes until it is clicked on.
