Laptop

I bought my first laptop from a company that went out of business. The laptop came
with Windows 2000 Pro.
My problem is that I can't get pass the logon screen to do anything with it. I have
tried e-mailing the IT people from the company but evidently they have moved on.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Jim

Immediately after booting, press F5, F8 or the right arrow key to go to the set up
menu. When the setup menu displays, select Safe Mode. A Safe Mode Desktop with the
basic services and programs will display. Maneuver the Safe Mode Desktop to see if
it can take you back to the regular Windows Desktop. If you press Ctr l-Alt-Del at
bootup, a window will display asking for a password. Type it in and a Safe Mode GUI
will be displayed. Troubleshoot your problem from there.
