Hi, my granddaughter was tossing her 2000 and I thought I'd see if it was fixable but I don't have wireless. How do I use my connections from my desktop to apply to the laptop to see if it's useable. I have dsl.

Do you need to know if the wireless works or if it will connect?
If the latter, pull the cable from your desktop and plug it into the laptop. Then
set up the laptop the same way as the desktop was set up (contact the ISP/check their
help pages if you cannot remember).
