If it's the Windows screen and not the BIOS screen that you can't get past, then
from a legal standpoint, if a machine comes out of a business that you don't own,
you should format the drive and install an operating system that is, or can be, registered
to you. If you didn't get any install or recovery media with it for reloading it
clean, then I would definately take off the old system and put a clean version of
W2K or XP on it that I personally owned. Could save you some grief down the road
so to speak..

As for getting by the log in and password, there is info posted on the net if you
Google for it.. We aren't supposed to help with this particular issue on this forum
(as it pertains to security and ownership issues)..

You should be able to use the machine, with a clean install of W2K or XP (if the
hardware can handle it) if it hasn't been password protected in the BIOS. In that
case, there are ways to reset that password to..

Hi would 2nd to what CK said.. You need to think just a little bit about what you want from the PC,,,,The PC will be setup for the company you got it from, by getting around the password is just one step on the ladder.... I would suggest you pickup a XP home ver. for the machine it will have most the drivers you will need the norm... Then it will be YOUR machine...and not some hand me down that you will hate in time. ==========
