I'm also having problems with a scheduled task in Win 2003 server. I tried your solution and it worked when the Administrator account was logged into the server. But it didn't work if no one was logged in. I even applied the hotfix from MS's website: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;821287. My task is set to run under a different Admin-equivalent account and here is the .BAT file that the task runs: shutdown /r /f. Do you have any other suggestions to make the scheduled task work whether someone is logged into the server or not? Thank you in advance for the help.
