I attempted to use the XP hack for creating a 2003 Folder Shortcut. Didn't work. What did work is right-click and drag the target folder to the \Documents and settings\{user}\NetHood folder. Then moving it to where I wanted to go. Interesting side note. It ends up with the filetype Folder instead of "File Folder" but it works as a Folder Shortcut. Also there is a mysterious guid in the Shellex key under the folder shortcut key in the registry. That has no source reference. It looks like an interface guid. Not Sure. Maybe someone else knows whats going on here and can explain further. At least this works for 2k3
