Startup Tasks (timing), problems

We have a few servers with Digital Rapids (Flash Encoder) boards. There are two
processes that must start up at boot time, for the system to function correctly.
They can be manually started and all is fine.

The problem is, when we use the task scheduler to run these, the programs can't find
the board. My guess is that this is a matter of timing during the boot process,
and perhaps Windows 2003 is still doing other things.

So my question is, how can I mitigate this... is there a workaround where I can,
for example, tell the system to start those two processes, in order, last just after
the system is settled in, etc?

Thank you!
