1. Install the same version of server 2003 on the new computer and join it to the existing domain 2. Run DCpromo on the new server and create an Additional Domain Controller for an Exisiting Domain. 3. Make the new server the global catalog server and remove the GC feature from the old server. 4. Transfer the FSMO roles from old server to new server 5. Allow for replication to occur overnight. 5. Install any programs needed 6. Move files from old to new 7. Changed the users logon scripts to point to new shares that have been created on the new machine. 8. Reboot all clients and have users log on to new DC before taking the old offline Go to Microsoft Technet for detailed instructions If it is SBS2003 ther procedure is different
