Like a dumbass I first posted this under winxp, but it's 2003 SBS.
My apologies to the sysops, and you may want to delete the misplaced post here: http://www.annoyances.org/exec/forum/winxp/1213232445
Two months ago, I put in a clean hard drive and installed the OS... no problems.
Found the drivers and we were off to the races.
I'm back in the loop, and windows goes into a hold at "13 minutes left - registering
components" and doesn't freeze, but doesn't go forward. No errors. I can come back
in a week and still see 13 minutes to go.
I removed each of the two memory modules, one at a time, same deal.
I removed the second hard drive, same deal. I've formatted, I've done it all, still
sticks at 13 minutes to go. I've set the bios back to default settings. Same deal.
A friend suggested resetting the motherboard with the jumper that would clear the
bios password (if I had one). I'm really ready to body slam this server. What do
you guys think?
