I have a storage server on my domain running win 2003. Recently something went wrong
and now i cant access any files or folders in one of its partitions. Everytime i
try to open these files or folders i get an error "access denied". Somehow i dont
have ownership of anything in this drive anymore.
Is there any way i can take ownership of a whole folder including the subfolders
and all the files within it without going through each file and manually doing it?
Ive been looking at the "chmod" command but cant understand how it works. Im logged
in using the domain admin account so i have all the permissions necessary i guess.
Can someone give me an example how ill go about using command? or is there another
simple way?
