Unable to edit group policy

We were using a generic administrative username say "admin" to create group policies in AD. As advised by our security team we changed password of the generic "admin" account and gave two other accounts rights to create group policy. Now the problem is that even though the new accounts have admin rights and can create new group policies, they are not able to edit the group policy created using "admin" account. We do not want to give away the password of the "admin" account. Kindly advise on how to give rights to the new accounts to edit group policy created by "admin" account

You can modify the permissions on the group policy object itself...Just give the appropriate users the rights they need on the specific objects.
