I had a domain controller running Server 2k3 SBS (w/ Exchange 2k3) that recently crashed...I have promoted another server running Server 2k3 Enterprise to domain controller and was able to replicate my AD data, but can't get the FSMO roles to transfer to the new DC due to the fact that the server is too far gone and SBS doesn't not play very well with other servers running Server 2003 Enterprise. Is there ANY way that I can manually assign these roles to the new DC? I have already tried everything that I can find in forums concerning transferring/manually transferring these roles to the new DC. Please help!

Using ntdsutil you can "seize (role)"

Look at the article under seizing roles, as you are not able to transfer.
