Formatted the computer and now can't get it started...

Hi
I "accidently" (foolishly) formatted my c drive in ms-dos mode... in an attempt to
install window 98...
now i get a message that says "Invalid system disk Replace the disk, and then press
any key"
I downloaded some boot disks for window 95b and tried them but none of them worked...
How do i get back to dos mode? Can i still install window 98?
