It has been many a year since I had 95 too, so if I am wrong, just pretend that this
post does not exist. If your friend's monitor is old enough, it will not have the
power saving feature, and must be manually turned off after the computer is shut
down. For startup, the monitor must be turned on prior to the computer, otherwise
the computer will hang if it does not immediately find the monitor.
