If it was a question about the application only and not how it may be having problems
with Windows, incompatibilties with Windows ETC, it was always considered off topic.
Same with purely hardware questions, although we may briefly try to help if the
answer was obvious on both accounts, or if someone knew the answer. Otherwise, posts
could be deleted if something was considered off topic, although some that are really
off topic aren't taken down. Kind of hit or miss sometimes, or if someone clicks
the "abuse or forum" button.. The issue with applications is that the manufacturer
of the app should provide support and be better aware (and be able to help better)
than a forum which is geared more toward Windows own bugs/problems/annoyances irrespective
of any programs.. Many questions get posted that have nothing to do with Windows
proper and it uses server space and bandwidth so they have tried to keep the focus
a little more narrow I guess..
