No, Jacob, I don't, but just to make sure, I swapped connections to vice versa and
nothing would turn on at all. What drives me nuts is that EVERYTHING'S ON!
The drive indicator light is ON and so is that of the monitor. I push the Start
button on the display and the one to activate the hard drive, the lights blink on
and the monitor remains blank.
I'm worried that it is something so basic to a PC (I've only used Mac's) that noone
mentions it because it doesn't even occur to them. They've done it so long, it's
not included in conscious thought any more.
Is there some starting sequence the operator has to go through?
I'm stymied because, though a Windows novice, I'm not dumb. I've checked everything
until I'm cross-eyed. It has to be either a malfunction (which seems most unlikely
since I saw the display working when I picked it up) or it's something super elementary
I'm not doing that noone's thought of.
Thanks for the idea. It was worth trying.
