Start by booting Windows in Logged mode. This will let you create a text file of
the entire boot process, so you can see where it fails. First, bring up the boot
menu. Hold down the 'CTRL' key from the beginning of the boot process until the menu
comes up. At the menu, select the option for Logged 'BOOTLOGTXT' and continue with
the boot.
After you've booted with the 'BOOTLOGTXT' option and the problem has occurred, the
next time you're able to start Windows do the following. Select START / RUN, type
C:\BOOTLOG.TXT in the 'Open' box and press enter. From the next prompt select 'Yes'
to open the file with WordPad. Follow the log entries until you find the error and
when the boot process stopped.
