To boot up in safe mode; Restart the computer and hold down either the F8 key or the CTRL key until a Startup menu appears on your screen. You will be given some choices on how to boot (Normal boot, DOS Prompt boot, Safe Mode boot, etc...). I think that the Safe Mode choice is #3, but I'm not sure. Just choose the Safe Mode choice and hit enter. This will boot your computer in Safe Mode.
