Potential Solution to Network Icon missing from Systray with Win98.
I’ve been working on and off with this for about a month trying every tip I could
find on the Internet and nothing worked but tonight my Network Icon is back in the
Systray and I’m a happy camper.
If your like me you may have made untold changes to your system so I have put a document
together at my website with the basic’s of what I redid to get me back to where I
was and then there’s one additional tip.
The following link will take you to my Webpage where I have placed a MS Word document
(due to graphic shots of Network menu settings). Scroll down near bottom of my Webpage
under the title “Other Cool Links”, to a link titled “Win98 Network Icon”. You should
be able to click on this to view or right click to down load a file named Icon.doc.
You can print it out to keep it handy until you get something that works for you.
If it does work, or if you find other variations of it that work, I’d appreciate
hearing about it. Good luck.
