If I hadn't made a copy of one CD I use (there are two systems here on W98 SE, one an upgrade, one an OEM), then I might be in the same boat and I took good care of my original. It developed a crack near the hub. Lots of CD's that were burned to less- than- premium media will do that (watch out for Atari- published games in this regard), but MS shouldn't use cheap media considering the overpriced level of cost they insist on.

I'd really like to beat them on that denial. There is an actual MS warranty that covered that disk.
