I just upgraded my pc from a 266MHz PII to a 1.33GHz AMD. It seems to work fine
except that when i turn the pc on, it just gives a black screen for about 30 seconds,
followed by the blue sky and clouds Windows98 screen, and then straight to desktop.

I don't get any of the typical startup readouts on my screen upon startup...like
when it counts your RAM, identifies your BIOS and chipset, clockspeed, and all those
other tons of messages that flash across your screen at a million miles an hour.
Why not? The MOBO manual (K7T Pro ms6330 v.2.1) says to hit delete to enter bios
setup but of course i never get that "hit delete to enter bios setup" promp...or
anything else for that matter. Anybody have an idea of whats going on? I can't
enter my bios setup!

I think I cleared my cmos before installing the mobo. i removed the jumper for a
good 15 seconds. I don't know if that could be affecting anything. thanks.
