I tried two things, one was to cross the drivers from my March, 2004 startup disk
I got from Bootdisk then, with the other files from Microsoft's own disk. It worked
the same as the March floppy did (claims that setup is a Windows-Only program).
I know it worked in March, as that's when I put a new Hdd in my laptop and couldn't
use the CD without a floppy, and my laptop is modular, so has only one or the other
of those.
I tried exactly the same thing as had worked then, copied everything from the floppy
to the new PC's C:\ root -- and that also failed when going to the CD for setup where
I get the message I shouldn't get about setup.
