I've recently subscribed to hi-speed cable access but a computer I want to use has only version 1. The cable company says I need version 2 but there was a way to install the modem on version 1 but refused to tell me how. The computer I am on now is win 2000 and am afraid of altering this computer should I download any 98 upgrade. What can I do in version 1 to load the modem driver or download an upgrade to CD burner on this computer to upload on my version computer?
