startup problem

I have a Compaq Deskpro with windows 98. I ran the restore disk and now it cycles
through startup.It goes from a screen that says starting windows 98, then it has
a screen that says Compaq restore, then it shows the normal Compaq screen. Then it
starts over with the same cycle. I cant do anything with the computer. Someone please
help!!
