Where is the modem? Here, modem, here, boy...

After a tortuous reformat, repartition, reinstallation of W98 2ed, when I try to
setup my modem (Aztech MDN 3900) on my Dell (XPS T450), the setup "wizrd" (Gomer
Pyle was more of a wizard) keeps saying it cannot find a "new" modem (when none are
installed already). Moreover, if I try to choose the driver file manually, #1 it's
not on the CD (not original CD, but legit like my W98 license) and #2 no matter which
driver I choose, the wizard says it can't find it (even when I point its browse function
right to the directory).
Alright, this is driving me straight to a new computer... it's already too late,
I give up, but I would like to eventually get this baby going again. This modem
worked fine forever before I swapped hard drives and etc, etc. Oh, yeah, the Aztech
website says it no longer supports this modem (no driver available for download).
These wizards and vendors are really idiot savants and scheisters.
Whatever.
