Hello, Herb, Thank you for your response. I bought this computer used, and didn't get any software with it. I have two similar HP's though, but other than replacing the battery or adding memory, I am pretty much out of my depth inside the box. I have learned that a computer can bring you to your knees effortlessly with some of the tricks it can come up with! My main problem now is no audio. It was working perfectly in Windows XP, now I have no audio at all. I loaded Nero 6 hoping that installing its many CD and DVD drivers would do some good, but still no sound. : ( Thanks again, Cherie
