Sorry it took me so long to follow up but work, travel, sick dog, etc...Thank you all for the suggestions. As far as the "modem" driver, I stumbled across in one of my drawers the original Aztech CD and got the thing "installed". Duh... So it now shows up on the list of installed modems. But even now, when I try to dial up my ISP, I don't hear a dial tone and I get an error message to the effect that the modem is not installed. So I'm going to try to REALLY reinstall the unit (or go get a real modem) per your suggestions. I really appreciate the help and I'll let you all know what happens.
