just like when it came out of the box.
|I didn't receive any disks with this system and don't have a recovery type disk.
|Is there any way to activate the factory hidden partition and reload this system.
The concept of a "thread" is to keep posts on the same topic TOGETHER
so that things can be kept in *context*.
Replying by email in NOT the way to do things.
Starting a new thread instead of continuing to post to the old thread
also hides previous information.
It is also against the forum rules.
It also would have been better
if you had started your own thread in the first place
and referenced the post in which you had found information.
==========
That is not at all what the hidden partition on a Compaq is about.
From the Usenet Archive -- BIOS+bootloader
You will need to purchase a Microsoft Windows Install CD or a Compaq Restore CD.
